Investigation work at Narrabri Creek Bridge - Notifications - West Region Projects

Reviewed

Project overview

The NSW Government is carrying out investigation work to improve safety on the Narrabri Creek Bridge.

Transport for NSW will carry out investigation work on the deck of the bridge on Tuesday 17 May between the hours of 7:00pm and 11:00pm. We plan to close the bridge for up to a maximum of 10 minutes repetitively throughout the 4 hour period.

We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these times.

How will the work affect you?

To minimise the impact of traffic along the Newell Highway, work will be carried out at night with short intermittent closures. The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.

Traffic changes

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.

This includes the closure of the bridge for up to a maximum of 10 minutes at intermittent periods betweeen 7:00pm and 11:00pm which may affect travel times. Motorists should allow up to 10 minutes extra travel time during this work.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.
