Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on of the Great Western Highway in Lithgow for essential maintenance work on Sunday 1 May.

The work will include repairing and replacing the road surface on a 200m section of the highway near the Main Street intersection.

Work will be carried out between 7pm and 5am, and is expected to take one night to complete, weather permitting.

Traffic control, single lane closures, intermittent stopping and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times.

Motorists should allow up to five minutes extra travel time during this work. Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience while this important work is carried out.
