reVITALise 2023 - Glen Innes Railway Station

reVITALise at Glen Innes

In collaboration with Glen Innes Severn Council, reVITALise is supporting creative placemaking in the heart of the Glen Innes community. On 25 November 2023 the disused heritage Glen Innes Railway Station hosted an inaugural Festival in the transport hub precinct. Co-created by the community, the Festival demonstrated the site’s potential for adaptive reuse, through music, markets, and art.

The reVITALise program is a series of state-wide community-driven demonstration projects that support best-practice placemaking and attachment to place. The program trials creative interventions, at transport-owned sites, to support the case for positive long-term change. It also aims to increase community’s attachment to place, their perceptions of safety, encourage active transport, and improve walkability. 

The Festival was held on Saturday 25th November 2023, at Glen Innes Railway Station.
