Bringing together industry, government and place owners, the Smart Places Summit was a catalyst for sharing strategies and insights as well as leveraging collective inspirations for creating smart places.
Dr Sarah Hill, CEO of the Western Parkland City Authority, launched the Smart Western City Program.
Building on the Smart Places Masterclass Series, the summit was an exciting combination of presentations, interactive panel discussions and case studies. Topics included:
- challenges for industry and government, such as building trust and creating innovative, collaborative environments for delivering successful projects
- examples from local government showcasing the value of smart places
- place-based approaches to smart places and how they can improve NSW
- priorities for government to support acceleration of smart places projects.
