Remembrance Driveway
The Remembrance Driveway is located along the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra.
The Driveway was launched in 1954, with the Queen and Prince Philip each planting a Plane tree in Macquarie Place, Sydney, marking the beginning of the Driveway.
It stands as a living memorial honouring all those who served in the Australian Defence Forces in World War II and subsequent wars or conflicts.
