Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2
Project overview
Transport for NSW is planning Stage 2 of Spring Farm Parkway to complete the key eastwest link between the suburbs of Menangle Park and Spring Farm to support the Greater Macarthur Growth Area.
Key benefits
- An alternate east west link connecting Camden Bypass, Hume Motorway and Menangle Road.
- Improved access to established and developing residential and employment precincts, including Spring Farm, Elderslie, Menangle Park, Mount Annan and Glen Alpine.
- Improving journey times for motorists, including freight, while providing an alternative to Narellan Road.
- New shared user paths to support greater access, travel mode choice and safety for pedestrians and cyclists
- Direct access for freight trucks to a Southern Sydney Freight Line terminal
- Enhancing the road network to improve accessibility and support the introduction of future bus services, ensuring better connectivity for the community.
- Improving flood resilience.

Spring Farm Parkway is comprised of two stages. Stage 1, now open to traffic, connects the Hume Motorway to Menangle Road with City facing on and off ramps. Based on community feedback, the proposed design for Stage 2 is now advancing to the next phases of planning and will complete the connection from Stage 1 to Liz Kernohan Drive.
This is one of a number of Transport projects that are supporting greater connections across outer South West Sydney. We are taking steps to support communities and growth in this area by reducing congestion and increasing safety on our roads, along with introducing new sustainable transport options for better access to employment, services and leisure destinations.
We are also planning for the future needs of the region – see more on the Outer South West Integrated Transport Plan | Transport for NSW web page.
