Transport Customer Service Centres

Transport for NSW operate two Transport Customer Service Centres in the Sydney CBD

  • Central Station – Grand Concourse
  • Circular Quay – Alfred Street, opposite Wharf 5

The Transport Customer Service Centres can help with trip planning for all public transport in NSW. You can also get an unregistered Adult or Child/Youth Opal card, or top up your existing Opal card with a Visa or MasterCard.

Insurance claims

If you witness an accident involving a State Transit vehicle, or if you are involved in one yourself, please visit transportnsw.info to provide your details.

Reporting vandalism and graffiti

We encourage you to report matters such as vandalism, graffiti, unattended baggage or suspicious activity.

Call the Police Assistance Line (PAL) on 131 444 to report a crime. If it is an emergency, call 000 immediately.

State Transit operates from over 7,000 bus stops throughout its Sydney network. To report vandalism, call 131500, or visit transportnsw.info  to provide details. If possible, please provide the bus stop number shown at the stop to enable us to accurately locate the stop affected.

Additionally, graffiti onboard our buses, ferries, bus stops and wharves can be reported to the NSW Graffiti Hotline on 1800 707 125.

Advertising on buses

To advertise on State Transit buses in Sydney, please contact APN Outdoor on (02) 8569 3000.

Advertising on bus shelters is usually managed by street furniture contractors on behalf of the relevant local government,  The majority of shelters in the Sydney Transit operating area are maintained by Adshel and JCDecaux .
