The NSW Government is planning the upgrade of Mamre Road between Erskine Park Road, Erskine Park and Kerrs Road, Kemps Creek. The project will meet the future transport demand associated with the Western Sydney Priority Growth Area.

August 2023 - Continuing investigation work on Mamre Road from Monday 14 August

This month we will complete our detailed survey work which forms part of the investigation work along Mamre Road. We will also start work to identify potential archaeological sites within the project between Erskine Park Road, Erskine Park and Kerrs Road, Kemps Creek.

Project information

Background

As a result of significant growth and development aligned with the Western Sydney Employment Area (WSEA) and Western Sydney Aerotropolis, the NSW Government has started planning for a future upgrade of Mamre Road.

This upgrade will provide improved road transport capacity ahead of future traffic demands.

Key features

The Mamre Road upgrade from Erskine Park Road, Erskine Park to Kerrs Road,Kemps Creek is a 6.1-kilometre upgrade Key features of the project include:

  • Two new signalised intersections
  • Upgrades to two intersections at James Erskine Drive and Bakers Lane
  • Road widening: four lanes (two in each direction)
  • Wide central median for potential future widening to six lanes (three in each direction)
  • Shared user paths on both sides of the carriageway.

Next steps

The NSW Government is working towards completing the concept design and REF for the Mamre Road upgrade from Erskine Park Road, Erskine Park to Kerrs Road, Kemps Creek.
