Outer Sydney Orbital

Using the OSO, people will be able to conveniently travel from the Central Coast to the Illawarra Shoalhaven region. In addition, communities in west and south-west Sydney will enjoy transport connectivity throughout the Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA) precincts and Bradfield City. 

This corridor will be protected in stages: OSO stage one and OSO stage two. 

• OSO Stage 1 (OSO1) is a priority, due to its proximity to the WSIA.
• OSO Stage 2 (OSO2) originates at the M31 Hume Motorway at Menangle and runs in an eastern facing curve to the Illawarra-Shoalhaven region.  

In the future, there will be further investigations to connect the Illawarra and the Central Coast.
