Project information
Background
Glebe Bridge was built in 1905 and is a nine-span timber beam bridge with a central steel span. A structural assessment identified the need for major refurbishment of the bridge.
As part of a $2.4 million maintenance project Roads and Maritime has been refurbishing the metal tower of the Glebe Bridge after it was removed in December 2014.
The tower was reinstated and the last of the work was finalised in December 2015.
