Project overview

The NSW Government is improving accessibility at Medlow Bath Station, with the project expected to be complete in 2025.

The project will provide a station precinct that is accessible to people with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.

Key benefits

  • One new lift to the station platform adjacent to the Station Street footbridge
  • A new pedestrian bridge across the Great Western Highway with lifts and a ramp that links to the new station lift. 
  • Upgrades to the existing accessible parking spaces and kiss and ride parking spaces 
  • Removal of the non-compliant pedestrian level crossing    
  • Upgrades to station footpaths and platforms, including a DDA compliant footpath on Railway Parade   
  • Improvements to CCTV, lighting and wayfinding 
  • Upgrades to the station footbridge, stairs and provision of new bicycle hoops.  

Project status

Construction is underway for an accessibility upgrade at Medlow Bath Station. The site set up is complete and major construction started in September 2023.

The stairs at the northern end of the station platform are now closed until September 2024.

Next steps

Construction of Medlow Bath Station Upgrade is now underway and is expected to be completed in mid 2025, weather permitting.
