Project overview

The NSW Government has improved accessibility at Medlow Bath Station, with the Station Upgrade project now complete.

The project has provided a station precinct and footbridge over the widened highway that is accessible to people with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.

Key benefits

  • New lift and stairs connecting the station platform to the existing station footbridge.
  • A new pedestrian bridge across the Great Western Highway with lifts and a ramp that links to the new station lift.
  • Upgrades to the existing accessible parking spaces and kiss and ride parking spaces.
  • Removal of the non-compliant pedestrian level crossing  .
  • Upgrades to station footpaths and platforms, including a DDA compliant footpath on Railway Parade .
  • Improvements to CCTV, lighting and wayfinding.
  • Upgrades to the station footbridge, stairs and provision of new bicycle hoops.
  • Heritage Interpretation artwork and murals to reflect Aboriginal and European heritage values of the precinct.

Project status

Construction for the accessibility upgrade at Medlow Bath Station has been completed. Major construction started in September 2023 and the upgrade was opened on 2 April 2025 .
