Stanmore Station Upgrade

Reviewed

Project overview

The NSW Government is improving accessibility and safety at Stanmore Station.

The upgrade at Stanmore Station will be delivered as part of two NSW Government initiatives, the Transport Access Program and Safer Cities Program.

The Transport Access Program will provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure across the state.

The upgrade will provide a station precinct that is accessible to people with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.

Transport also proposes to make additional safety and place improvements to Stanmore Station as part of the Safer Cities program to help make Stanmore Station feel safer for women, girls and gender diverse people. The scope is proposed to include additional safety enhancements such as lighting, landscaping, and character improvements.

The project is expected to be completed in 2023*.

We invite your thoughts and feedback:

A pop-up information session was held at Stanmore Station on Wednesday 15 February 2023 to talk to members of the community about the Safer Cities Program.

The Safer Cities Program’s Have your say survey has now closed. Contributions to this consultation are under evaluation and review, with initial findings shared and a detailed report to be published in the coming months.
