Mascot Power Supply Project
Project overview
The program is designed to simplify and modernise the rail network. Passengers will be able to access more services on a simpler and more reliable network through the delivery of better infrastructure, new trains and extra services.
Project scope
- building a new substation at 166 O’Riordan Street, Mascot
- installing a cabling route from the new substation to Mascot Station
- fitting new lighting, CCTV and security fencing around the substation and a mobile antenna behind it.
Customer benefits
- More services for the T8 Airport Line, including an 80 per cent increase at Airport stations.
